Bijzonderheden: After 25 years, California band Venice reunites its original seven members for a special CD release of.... wait for it….seven songs: "Lucky 7 - Part One.” In the mid 1990’s, following the release of Venice’s self-titled debut album and two “Garage Demos” CD releases, a couple of the band’s members left the Venice lineup to pursue other things. Drummer Scott Crago moved back to Boston after being snatched up by The Eagles, and is recording and touring with them to this day. Keyboardist Monroe Jones moved to Nashville and became a Grammy Award winning producer. In late 2014 the band reached out to their two longtime friends and ex-band mates and came up with a plan to fly them back to California for a Venice reunion. The result was a whirlwind two weeks at the Lennon family home in Vista, California (the other 5 members are all Lennon cousins) where the early ‘90s version of Venice lived together, ate together, drank together, and oh yeah, they also jammed together for the first time in 25 years, and wrote and recorded a new collection of songs that capture the vibe and energy of the band’s early days.
